Our Process
We start by removing the old flooring and skirting and carrying out a thorough inspection of the base for damp, unevenness and unstable areas, then clear away the debris. We prepare the base by levelling it with a self-levelling compound or by grinding, so that deviations stay within the permitted tolerances — a level, dry base is the condition for durable flooring without creaking or gaps.
We lay a suitable underlay for sound and thermal insulation and a tight fit, adding a vapour-barrier film against moisture from the base where needed. We install the laminate or parquet by the floating method with precise board alignment, leaving expansion gaps to the walls for the material’s natural movement, and cut around pipes, doors and thresholds. We finish with skirting and transition strips, check the integrity of the floor and clean the site, ready for furnishing.
